About this event

AMCA SPRINGFIELD MILE SWAP MEET
Presented by the St. Louis Gateway Chapter of the AMCA

Vendor UPDATE!
We have been getting lots of calls about vendors coming from Davenport and wanting to attend the Springfield Mile Swap Meet.

New Vendors are WELCOME!
Vendor spaces are limited to four per member. The cost is $50 for each 20'x20' vendor space. $20 of the vendor fee is a gate fee. Each vendor receives one weekend credential, not per space. Additional crew passes (gate fee) are $20 each for the weekend. 100% of gate fees go to the promotor not AMCA or Gateway Chapter.

Here are the load-in instructions and information.

AMCA Vendors will enter off Tainter Rd onto N 8th Street - Gate 7. This will be our in and out gate for the weekend.

GPS location to Gate 7 is 39°50'30"N 89°38'41"W  or 700 Taintor Rd, Springfield, IL.

From I-55, take the Hwy 29 (E Sangamon Ave) exit. Go West 2 miles. This will put you at the corner of E. Sangamon Ave. and N. Peoria Rd. The Fairgrounds starts at this corner.

Take a right on N Peoria Rd. Go 1 mile

Turn Left on Tainter Rd. Go 1 mile. This will put you at Gate 7

Turn Left on N 8th St. (Look for AMCA directional signs)

From here, there should be staff to direct you or follow the signs to the North Tunnel to the infield. As you enter the tunnel, you will enter through the LEFT lane.

Thursday Staging: If you show up overnight or early Friday morning, we will be staging vendors in Parking Lot 21, inside Gate 7, off Taintor Rd.

Friday: Gates open at 11:00am for Vendor Set-up day. You will pick up your vendor packet at the tent on the infield, just inside the tunnel. Note: The tunnel to enter the infield is 11’-9” high. Anyone with a vehicle taller than this must enter with the racers on Friday at 3-4 pm. Once in, big rigs cannot exit until after the races are over on Sunday, (approximately 5 pm.)

Friday: New vendor (not pre-registered) gate will close at 6:00 pm.

The tunnel gates will be locked promptly at 9:00 pm each night for those with wristbands. No one will be allowed back in the infield after this time. For those camping inside, if there is an emergency, a number will be provided in your vendor pack for the Fairgrounds Security.

Saturday: Gates open at 7:00 am
Sunday: Gates open at 7:00 am

Camping:
a. Vendors can camp onsite in the infield. This is primitive camping with no hook-up, power, or showers. There is no usable power in the infield. The promoter will be charged $1,500??? If anyone taps into a power source, they will be charged for any usage the promoter receives.
b. Camping with hook-ups. These are available for rent from the Fairgrounds. The campground is located just inside of Gate 11, next to the Arena where Friday night racing takes place.
Tents: Tents cannot be staked down in the ground. Due to racing safety concerns, all tents must be secured down or tied to a vehicle.
Showers are open to the public next to the Gate 11 Camping area. Showers are in front of the arena (short track) at the fairgrounds. You will need a golf cart to get there. It would be a long walk. It’s almost a ¾ mile walk from the pedestrian tunnel.

Online Vendor Registration closes at midnight Friday, August 22. If you miss it, just show up. We have plenty of room. The map below is the 2025 layout. All spots are 20' x 20'.

Please note, we realize this event is on Labor Day weekend, which dates back to the 1930's. It also falls on the same week as Chief Blackhawk's Davenport event. We are in no way trying to interfere or take away from that event, but as we know, many vendors leave Davenport on Friday. The Springfield Mile is and will always be a Saturday/Sunday event, and in our case, with vendor set-up starts on Friday. If this works with your plans, we would love to have you join us and have a front row seat to AMA's oldest and most prestigious flat track races, all while sitting in the comfort of your vending spot.

Keep in mind, this is a swap meet inside an active one-mile racetrack. Vendor spaces are only $50 per spot and includes one weekend infield pass and one vehicle pass per vendor....NOT per spot. The one who purchases the spot(s) are limited to one weekend infield pass. One helper (crew/guest) can purchase a weekend infield pass for only $20 for the weekend. All additional passes are $20 per day (Saturday and Sunday) and must be purchased through the race promoter. All weekend credential fees and $20 per vendor spot are passed through to Mees Promotions, LLC. AMCA nor the Gateway Chapter share in any of the infield passes revenue. $20 from each vendor space sold goes to the promoter.

Grandstand passes can be purchased from the promoter at the entrance to the grandstands on the outside of the track. You can reach the grandstands through the pedestrian gate on the South end of the Tunnel road. Grandstand passes sell for $45 per day, which includes racer paddock access. Your weekend armband allows you to upgrade your pass with a $20 discount for a per-day price of $25.

Vendor spaces next to the light poles in the center of the field have great exposure to the back straight and turns 2 and 3. Early bird gets the best view. Don't delay in registering.

The vendor gate opens on Friday, August 29 at 11:00am for REGISTERED vendors. 2:00pm for non-registered vendors. Saturday, August 30 at 8:00am for all vendors. New Vendors Welcome!

NOTE: You must be a current AMCA member to be a vendor at the Springfield Mile AMCA Swap Meet. You can renew your membership or join on-line at www.antiquemotorcycle.org
