The Antique Motorcycle Magazine Advertiser Upgrades

Keith Kizer | Published on 12/6/2024

We want to inform you about several important changes regarding the 2025 advertising program in The Antique Motorcycle, the bimonthly print magazine that continues to be a favorite benefit to our 14,000-strong membership.

The Antique Motorcycle Club of America started publishing The Antique Motorcycle in 1960. Sixty-five years later, the magazine has become known as one of the industry standards and is the number one reason for club membership.

Here’s a sneak peek at the upcoming January/February cover, which will kick off our new year with a bang. “Steve McQueen was a true all-around motorcyclist — a rider, racer, and collector,” says Editor David Edwards. “For this story, we’ve tracked down some of his many motorcycles, including one that has an AMCA connection.”

Should be a good read, but as wonderful as the magazine is we have made several changes to enhance our advertisers' experience.

Starting with the March/April issue, advertisers will now be offered a 10% Discount for a 6-issue commitment or a 5% Discount for a 3-issue commitment utilizing our Insertion Order form.
Also, we will start utilizing a cloud-based program allowing advertisers to see and approve their ad before publication. This will eliminate errors in picking up old ads or recently revised ads. It puts the advertiser in charge of their advertising.

With these changes, our advertising manager for the past fourteen years, Paul Holdsworth will be leaving us at the close of the May/June issue. We thank Paul for his years of service and wish him well.

Taking over as the lead Advertising Account Manager will be Alan Mayes. Alan was the Managing Editor/Advertising Manager for Koolhouse Publishing for nearly twenty years. He also worked for IronWorks, and The Horse Backstreet Choppers magazines and has been a freelance contributor to Rider, Cycle Source, Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Club, RoadBike, Thunder Press, Big Twin Dealer magazines.
